Abu Dhabi Food Hub is an integrated system located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Its main objective is to facilitate wholesale food trade and logistics of all food categories. This project is the result of the collaboration between Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Ghassan Aboud Group in partnership with Rungis and is considered an important part of the food security agenda of the United Arab Emirates.
The Largest Food Ecosystem in the Region
The project covers an area of 3.3 square kilometers and is expected to become the largest integrated ecosystem in the region for the trading of all food commodities, offering significant opportunities for products from Latin America. Additionally, it will include various facilities such as market pavilions, open-air markets, cold storage rooms, specialized storage facilities, food handling facilities, and more.
It’s the First Wholesale Food Market in the Region with All Food Categories
Abu Dhabi Food Hub comprises a wide variety of providers and facilitators, including traders, logistics and value-added service providers, as well as private commercial service providers and government facilitators. The food trade zone’s focus will encompass a wide range of products, such as fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, seafood, dairy, dry goods, flowers, and gourmet products. The goal is to create a regional food hub that attracts importers, traders, local producers and farmers, food distributors, and exporters looking to expand their businesses in the growing markets of the Middle East and North Africa.
Be Part of One of the World’s Leading Re-export Hubs
The United Arab Emirates ranks among the top 5 re-export hubs globally and is ranked 12th globally for ease of doing business, making it the top-ranked country in the Arab region according to the World Bank.
Furthermore, the UAE ranks first in the Arab region in the cross-border trade index and 14th in the Logistics Performance Index, which provides an overview of quality and efficiency in terms of timeliness, customs, quality of logistics services, infrastructure, tracking and tracing, and ease of international shipments.
